Basketball Tournament
Description
Host a basketball tournament at your school!
Teams of 5 sign up with team names (and pay an admission fee) to enter the bracket-style tournament. Encourage others to come watch, to participate in the raffle, and to buy t-shirts, food, and beverages.

Steps
Step 1: Pick a Date
Sometime in March for March Madness
Step 2: Find a Location
A school gym
Step 3: Assign Roles
Step 4: Promotion
- Make flyers to hang around the school (with date, time, and location, and maybe a QR code to scan to sign up as a form)
Make Sign-up stand by the cafeteria or in a crowded place (teams of 5 — sign up with team names — $7-10 per person)
Step 5: Make big posters / banners (with sponsors’ logo) about SACH to hang up at the event
Step 6: Other ways to get more money
Reach out to local businesses to sponsor your tournament (business names on banners at event and back of t-shirts)
Make custom t-shirts (Participants can buy a t-shirt for ½ off (with sponsors names on the back))
Organize a raffle
As a prize, do a gift basket and a t-shirt or tickets to a sports game (basketball game), and for every 5 tickets they buy, they get 1 free
Organize a food and beverage sale

Step 8: Set Details
Once all the teams sign up, make a tournament bracket
Decide on time per game (20 minutes recommended)
Decide on the referee for the tournament
Figure out an audio system to play music and make announcements
Roles
1. Treasurer Committee
Secures and runs sign-up stand
Collects and keeps track of registration fees and event balance
Contacts and secures event sponsors (local businesses)

2. Marketing and Promotion Committee
Designs and hangs up flyers
Designs banners
Makes QR code linked to Google Forms for easy sign-up
In charge of securing prizes

3. Facility and Equipment Managers (3 people)
Secures facility
Secures all necessary equipment for basketball tournament
Sets up facility (with help of others)
